From Nov. 29 to 30, 2022, China Europe International Exchange AG (CEINEX) was invited to participate in the 2022 Shanghai Global Asset Management Forum that was co-hosted by Bank of China and Yicai Media Group. The two-day event brings together global regulators, economists and asset management executives to share insights on the new trends in the field of international asset management.
Mr. Niels Tomm, Co-CEO of CEINEX, attended the panel discussion “Dialogue with Exchange Houses：Shanghai, the Hub Connecting Europe & China”, and discussed the development and investment opportunities under the partnership between Germany and China. Additionally, he shared a few details regarding GDR listing for the Chinese A-Share companies in Germany.
The CSRC, China Securities Regulatory Commission, expanded the Stock Connect scheme to Germany early this year, enabling Chinese A-Share companies to issue GDRs in Frankfurt. Mr. Tomm said, “we are very proud to announce today that we are now technically ready to launch China-Germany Stock Connect and are happy to welcome A-share companies to issue GDRs in Germany.”
Additionally, he noted that “the Deutsche Börse Group and CEINEX will remain committed and engaged to building the bridge between European and Chinese capital markets.”As a Sino-German strategic capital markets platform, CEINEX provides comprehensive listing services for Chinese issuers and welcomes A-Share listed companies to issue and list GDRs in Frankfurt.
