Support the collaboration between the Chinese and European real economic entities and promote the connect and integration between Chinese and international financial market
China Europe International Exchange (CEINEX) participated in the 12th China-EU Business Summit in Brussels on June 2, 2017. Dr. Chen Han, CO-CEO of CEINEX delivered a speech at the Summit.
The theme of Summit is "strengthening the pillars of global trade and investment". At the opening ceremony of the Summit, Chinese Premier Li Keqiang and Chairman of the European Commission Jean-Claude Juncker delivered speeches respectively. Premier Li Keqiang said, China and the EU needed to remain committed to the overall direction of economic globalization, to jointly uphold the rules-based multilateral economic and trade order, to adhere to the principle of free trade and fairness, to promote the balanced growth of two-way trade, to create a more open, fair and standardized investment environment and to pursue common development in the process of cooperation and competition to create deeper market connectivity and durable driving force for global economic development.
Chairman of the European Commission Jean-Claude Juncker expressed that, EU is willing to work together with China to communicate closely in the spirit of mutual benefit and frankness, to create a level playing field, to strengthen the connectivity and innovative corporation, to cope with the challenge of climate change, as well as to co-built an open and with the international rules accorded economy.
Dr. Chen Han, CO-CEO of China Europe international exchange (CEINEX) made a keynote speech at the following Business Leaders Plenary Session introducing the strategic positioning and the development of CEINEX, and participated in the panel discussion. “The economic cooperation between China and Europe developed from trade to investment and financial collaboration. As an important achievement of the financial cooperation between China and EU, CEINEX is dedicated to provide China- and RMB-related financial products to European investors to support the collaboration between the Chinese and European real economic entities, to promote the connect and integration between Chinese and international financial market as well as to promote the internationalization of Renminbi”, Dr. Chen said.
Before the opening of summit, Premier Li Keqiang met with speakers on the summit from both Chinese and European sides. More than 400 participants from Chinese and European business communities attended the summit.
