China Europe International Exchange
What Do We Offer?

Bridging Markets / Trade China / New Opportunities

Our vision

Establish a centralized marketplace for trading, risk management and asset allocation for China-related or RMB-denominated financial products in Europe.

Our mission

As a Sino-German strategic capital markets platform, CEINEX's mission is to support the real economic cooperation between China and Europe, as well as promote RMB internationalization.

The term D-Shares refers to shares issued offshore by companies limited by shares incorporated under the Company Act of the People’s Republic of China and listed on the D-Share Market of the China Europe International Exchange AG (hereinafter “CEINEX D-Share Market”). CEINEX utilizes Deutsche Börse Group’s reliable and highly integrated market infrastructure covering the entire value chain of financial services to provide for trading, clearing, settlement and custody for D-Shares.

Bond trading at CEINEX focuses on:

  • Prominent Chinese enterprises and financial institutions
  • Supranational institutions, sovereigns/government and quasi-sovereign agencies
  • Sino-German strategic cooperation projects
  • China’s ‘One Belt, One Road’ infrastructure projects

Exchange Traded Funds (ETFs) pursue a passive investment strategy. They aim to track the performance of an underlying index as precisely and cost-efficiently as possible. Underlying indices may be national or international stock indices, bond and real-estate indices or commodity and strategy indices. By replicating indices, entire markets can be traded as easily as a share.

CEINEX operates on Deutsche Börse Group’s infrastructure under European regulations. Clearstream, a subsidiary of Deutsche Börse Group, fully supports issuance of securities traded on CEINEX market through its existing procedures and systems.

As CEINEX market operates on the infrastructure of Deutsche Börse Group, all listing requirements and procedures, including the admission and introduction of financial instruments, as well as the ongoing obligations arising from introduction follow the rules and conditions at Deutsche Börse under the European regulatory and standards.

In order to participate in trading of CEINEX cash market products, a trading membership with Frankfurt Stock Exchange (FWB®), the cash market of Deutsche Börse Group, is required. Applying for a trading membership, also referred to as a Non-clearing membership (NCM), is simple and straightforward.
